Curling Club Wetzikon Section Wheelchair Curling

  • Curling is suitable for all wheelchair users, no special wheelchair is requested

The entire Curling Club Center Wetzikon is fully wheelchair accessible. Parking is possible just opposite the Curling Rink.

Practice sessions

Do you intend to try out wheelchair curling – please feel very welcome to join us during our practice sessions.

We are on the curling ice every Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm to 6pm. We will be happy to welcome you on the ice. You do not need a special designed wheelchair; your wheelchair will be fine. Just to make sure there will be a Curler looking after you please get in touch by mail with maschwitter@hispeed.ch or harry.burger.ch@bluewin.ch. Parking is just next to our Curling rink.

Please bring warm clothes with you.

Team

A wheelchair curling team contains both genders (male/female) the numbers are not fixed (3 female and 1 male or opposite or 2males and 2 females).

Game

The rules are equal to the regular curling, exemption there is no sweeping at all.

Curling Club Wetzikon

As a member of the Curling Club Wetzikon you will receive a member card from the Swiss Curling Association. In order to play Swiss championships, you also need as a sport license which will be issued by the Swiss Paraplegic Association. All wheelchair curlers are fully integrated into the sports and cultural club activities.
