International Wheelchair Curling Tournament
Dear Curlers
On behalf of the Curling Club Wetzikon and the local organizing committee may I welcome, once again, everyone who will join us for the 2025 International Wheelchair Curling Tournament at our curling rink. This is the 16th edition and we are pleased to see how successful this event has developed and has become a landmark in the planning of the national teams worldwide.
The local organising committee and the Curling Club Wetzikon will provide the high standard to make this event for all Curlers a memorable one. Due to our generous sponsors we will improve our own standards and looking forward to celebrate the 17th edition together with your team.

CHF 400 per team, including 4 vouchers for Saturday’s Dinner (excl. drinks).
Additionals banket vouchers can be ordered up on arrival for CHF 35 per person.
Heat 1
The pairings for the first round have been drawn, see pairings 1st round. After the practise, two LSD (clockwise and counter-clockwise) are played for the right of the last stone.
Heat 2 to 5
The pairings will be created according to the current overall ranking, with no pairing being played twice. The better ranked team has the right of the last stone.
Final Heat
All teams play in the final round. The pairings will be made according to the overall ranking after the 5th round. The pairings are rank 1 and 2; 3 and 4; 5 and 6;7 and 8; 9 and 10; 11 and 12. Pairings from rounds 1 to 5 can be repeated. The better-ranked team has the right of the last stone.
Ranks 1 to 4 (closed final)
The ranks will be played out, rank 1 and 2 play for the tournament victory, rank 3 and 4 for the 3rd and 4th place respectively. The points from the tourna- ment do not affect the ranking. If there is a tie after 8 ends, an additional end has to be played. If the extra end ends with zero stones, the team that started the end wins the game.
Ranks 5 to 12
A draw can be played, there is no additional end. For the final ranking, the results of all six games are included in the evaluation.
Advertising
The game is played over 8 ends. The team with more stones gets two points, the losing team zero points. In case of a draw, each team gets one point. The rankings are made according to point / end / stone.
2 hours 15 min. for 8 ends (round 1 to 5).
An end which begins within this time limit can be completed.
All team members and officials are responsible for their own travel and medical insurance.
