The free guard zone also includes the house and thus becomes the free stone zone. This means that not a single one of the first five stones may be completely played away by the opponent.
A team consists of two players. A player plays six stones with the stick alternately with an opponent. In the subsequent end, the tasks change. The skip becomes the player and the player becomes the skip without changing sides of the rink. The opposing team will ensure that the wheelchair users are fixed when they are handed over.
It is played according to the adapted Canadian Sturling Rules, but WCF-compliant with regard to stone delivery, in 2 groups with 6 stones each over 6 ends, with the first pairing being drawn by lot. Within each group 3 rounds are played. The 4th and 5th rounds are played according to the overall ranking. Only the 12 best teams compete in the final round, with the first two playing for tournament victory and 2nd place (pairings can be repeated).
Points, Ends, Stone
Victory = 3 points
Peels and winning LSD = 2 points
Peels and loosing LSD = 1 point
Loss = 0 point
A team with the same number of points, ends and stones with another team that is on a finals course can only be eliminated by an additional stone game. One player from each team plays a stone as close to the dolly as possible. Wiping is allowed from the hog line. The team with the shorter distance to the dolly is eligible to play in the final round.
